About Korean Egg Fried Rice Recipe: This recipe is a simple stir-fried dish mainly using egg, rice, and few sauces. It is simple and easy to make a dish that you can even make on a busy morning. It’s a quick and easy way to whip up a light meal and use up leftover rice and eggs. The most common seasoning for this dish is rice and soy sauce. However, I also use the oyster sauce with it as it adds depth to the flavor.

Rice is a Korean staple food, most of Korean eat rice in breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They make some quick recipes using rice and eggs with some variations. This dish is not just for breakfast, you can make it for other times of the day by adding protein (shrimps, prawns, and surimi), vegetables (carrots, zucchini, peas, bell papers, capsicum, and green onions), and substantiate the volume of rice.

SERVINGS

Ingredients

  • 200 grams rice - boiled
  • 3 pcs egg
  • 10 grams vegetable oil
  • 45 grams scallion
  • 3 grams ground black pepper
  • 2.5 grams soy sauce - dark
  • 3.5 grams oyster sauce
  • 15 grams butter
  • 3.75 grams salt

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, add boiled rice. Break 3 eggs into the bowl. Mix the ingredients well.
  • Heat a Kadhai on medium heat. Once heated, add cooking oil. When oil is hot, add scallion and then stir for 40 seconds. Add the rice-egg mixture and stir for 30 seconds.
  • Add black pepper powder, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, and then gently mix other ingredients. Add butter and saute for 1 minute.
  • Add salt and saute until the ingredients are light brown.
