A Few Final Thoughts
These thoughts are also available in the recipe card so that you can print them:
- Substitution: I have used clarified butter for frying, you can use butter for both frying and as well as for making caramel.
- Additions: You can add vanilla extract to the popcorns to add flavor. If you love chocolate, you can drizzle melted chocolate over caramel popcorn once it has cooled down. If like me, you also love the salty-sweet taste, you will want to add salty peanuts and cashew nuts to popcorns.
- Shelf life: After caramel popcorns have cooled, store it in an airtight container, they will be good for up to 6-7 days.
- Cookware: Use a silicon spatula for stirring instead of a wooden spatula because they are naturally non-stick and high heat resistant.
